I have read this book 4 times, and I am feeling the desire to read it again. The strange thing is, I don't have a copy myself, but have to search one out from whichever library I am closest to.
I'm not entirely sure what moves me to continue to re-read this book. It has a wonderfully implausible story line about a young boy (Ender) being drafted into a military command school, in the hopes that he or one of his classmates will eventually become the great strategic mind that will rid the Earth of an alien threat forever. Definitely implausible, but told in such a compelling way that I am completely drawn in each time Ender overcomes every terrible obstacle that is placed before him. I know the outcome of each trial, and I know the final twist, and yet I find myself about every two years seeking out this book. It's fun, well-crafted, intelligent, escapist fiction.
